Acapela Group, the leading voice expert, announces that it has been selected by Babylon, the world’s leading provider of language solutions, to speech empower Babylon 9.
Acapela natural tones will support millions of Babylon users worldwide with pleasant audio pronunciation of a searched word, to optimize the translation process and language learning.
Babylon 9 provides one click translation for any computer application such as email, internet pages, pdf documents and word files. Unlike many toolbar based applications, Babylon can be used with any application employed by the end user.
Voice capability is one of the breakthrough features of Babylon 9.
Acapela text to speech voices come in to offer a pleasant audio version of the translation, significantly enriching the interface of the application with male and female voices, in any of 18 languages.
Other features provide translators with advanced tools and the best available advice. For instance, Babylon Live Translation Community provides the opportunity for fellow translators to ask and answer questions and so enables them to access advice on translation, grammar and spelling including current slang and dialects, thereby guaranteeing a markedly improved translation of any text. Spelling and Proofreading are available to ensure that not only syntax is correct but that nothing important has been omitted or skipped during the translation process.
Additional features included in version 9: more languages, more sources, the ability to translate full web pages and documents, compatibility with Microsoft Office speller, and better access to dictionaries and encyclopedias.
'Babylon 9 is a result of listening and communicating with our 90 million registered users worldwide for the past 13 years. Acapela natural voices help enhance the efficiency of our flagship application, providing our users with advanced features and ease of use.' says Alon Carmeli, Babylon's CEO.
'We are very happy to be the voice of Babylon, helping to provide an intuitive and friendly service, inspiring translators to work together for their mutual benefit, enabling them to better understand and check their work, encouraging them to share and learn using text to speech solutions.' adds Lars-Erik Larsson, Acapela Group's CEO
