TTS for Personal Use

If you want to use Text to Speech at home for your own personal usage then this is your page. At Acapela we mainly license Text To Speech technology to Corporations and Organisations. Some of our Partners have developed Applications for Personal Users that you will be able to get here thru this page.

Personal Readers

If you want a stand alone version of our voice, meaning a piece of software that would allow you to listen to a cut and pasted text, whatever the source is, then you can purchase:

• Natural Reader by NaturalSoft for Windows
• Text Aloud by NextUp for Windows
• Ghostreader by Convenienceware for the Mac
• Speak it! by FutureApps for the iPhone

Personal Voices

If you have a speech enabled application - like MyScribe from CafeScribe for example - and you want it to speak with one of our voices than you need a "Personal Voice" that is supporting so called standard Speech APIs.

Check the compliancy of your application with following APIs. Ask your supplier in case of doubt.

• SAPI for Windows then you need Infovox Desktop or infovox inKey (USB version)
• Speech Manager for Apple then you need infovox iVox

Once you have purchased and downloaded them you just need to install those voices on your PC or Mac and your application will speak with our voices although you might have to select the voice in the settings.

Producing Sound Files

As a private person there are some limitations on those software linked to the use of the sound files that you can create with them. As long as those sound files are used on a private, non-professional and non-profit basis there is no limitation. In all other cases you might need to purchase one of our other products in order to get the rights to do what you want to do.
