Acapela Speech Unit is a powerful hardware unit designed to add voice alarm capacity to your Supervision, Alarm and Data Acquisition system (SCADA). It transmits alerts using synthesized speech in real time, directly to the designated agent, to ensure quick, on-site, reaction.
Speech solutions are widely deployed in alert systems to give a voice to unmanned installations and build a safe voice-based dialogue between users and machines. Maintenance teams receive real time clear and intelligible messages enabling them to carry out accurate and preventive actions, so ensuring an efficient and optimum use of resources.
The SCADA system monitors critical processes and gathers data from remote locations to enable continuous surveillance of equipment and operational conditions on site, eg. in power production, oil and gas refining, telecommunications, transportation, and water and waste control. When a fault is detected alarms are activated. Acapela Speech Unit transforms the alarms into spoken information messages.
