SPA, a UK educational software publisher to schools and colleges since 1980, has chosen Acapela text to speech to enrich the language portfolio of Story Maker, their e-learning software for children.

StoryMaker has been designed with "children-friendly" use in mind, to encourage them to write animated stories which speak & sound . An amusing tool for children to begin making up stories and speaking foreign languages, offering them a playful way to learn.

With Acapela TTS, the children can hear the story in French and German (other languages are available in option). Text to speech feedback is a great encouragement to write their own stories, creating new real time interactivity, with the result at their fingertips. The final story can even be saved and sent out to family and friends.
