Sistel and Acapela text to speech assist visually impaired operators

March 7th, 2002

Sistel, an Italian company dedicated to tailor-made software solutions, has chosen Acapela text to speech to assist visually impaired operators in their daily work.

With Acapela text to speech, the system developed by Sistel identifies visual information displayed on the PBX such as incoming numbers display or Led signals to transmit it vocally.

Visually impaired operators can manage and transfer calls as well as all the associated information. Marketed in Italy, Sistel system has already been adopted by major companies such as Matra or Nortel.
