Acapela’s speech synthesis has a talking part in the French version of Pedro Almodovar’s new film.

Dubbing Brothers Group, market leaders in the dubbing industry, use Acapela’s speech synthesis in a sequence of ‘Etreintes Brisées’, the French version of Pedro Almodovar’s new film, ‘Broken Embraces’.
The film tells the story of a Director who fourteen years earlier, following a serious road accident, lost his sight and the woman in his life, Lena.
Acapela Group has been lucky enough to land its first cinema role in the French version of the film – for 2 minutes Acapela vocalises the text read by a computer.
The role seems custom made for Acapela which naturally performs its part by transforming written text into voice for this man who can no longer read. It’s a role that Acapela plays backstage on a daily basis for thousands of people who are blind and visually impaired.
Voice solutions can considerably ease post production steps and give the say to animations. Multilingual versions can be easily developed -with no speaker or studio constraints- to either draft a localized version before human voice recordings, simply add voice over to a video or speech animate characters.
