'The DAISY Consortium envisions a world where people with print disabilities have equal access to information and knowledge without delay or additional expense.

The DAISY standard (Digital Accessible Information SYstem), has been designed to make printed information available to people living with reading disabilities and print impairments, at the same time and at no greater cost, in an accessible, feature-rich, navigable format, worldwide.

Using text to speech, DAISY Digital talking books meet reader requirements by providing a level of access that has never been possible before.  The DAISY specifications are already transforming the reading and learning experiences of thousands of visually impaired people around the world.
